Pierre Jeanneret Upholstered Armless Office chairs like the one referenced as PJ-SI-37A were mainly used at the Chandigarh High Court around 1959-60. The chair has a sturdy teakwood frame and is upholstered in a variety of fabrics from leather to cotton to moleskin. The straight backrest and armless design make these the ideal chairs for use around tables. The profiled flat ‘V’ shaped legs are higher than some other styles and are connected by two rails underneath the seat.
