Pierre Jeanneret’s slatted bench catalogued as PJ-SI-33E was a style predominantly used at the M.L.A Hostel (hostel for civil servants) and the M.L.A Flat (residence for civil servants) during 1955-56 in Chandigarh. The solid teakwood bench has a rectangular seat with wide slats. The symmetrical ‘V’ shaped legs are connected together with a single crosspiece at the bottom.
